A neutral-white comparison can make a colour shift easier to describe without relying on memory. During a repair phone display tint Bangi check, the aim is not to force the screen to look perfect but to observe whether the tint is uniform, brightness-dependent or limited to one area.

Set up a useful comparison

• Use a plain white page with no photos or coloured interface elements.
• Choose the phone’s standard or natural colour profile.
• Disable night-light and accessibility filters temporarily.
• Use the same room light for every observation.
• Keep brightness moderate to reduce heat and glare.

A second device can provide context, but two screen models may be calibrated differently. Look for strong localised patches, gradients or sudden changes rather than expecting an exact visual match.

What different patterns can reveal

1. A whole-screen warm cast may follow a comfort filter or colour profile.
2. An edge-only tint may need closer inspection of the panel area.
3. A shift at low brightness can be useful to reproduce during diagnosis.
4. A change after a drop or screen replacement should be recorded.
5. Lines, black patches or lifting glass require prompt physical inspection.

Photographs have limits

Automatic camera processing may introduce a blue or yellow cast that is not visible in person. If you take reference photos, keep the lighting and camera position consistent and treat them as symptom notes rather than proof of the cause.
